Most of our students are at school or college and are aged between five and nineteen, but we also have courses suitable for adults.

Courses are part time and fit around school and college timetables. Some students attend one course for an hour or two a week and others choose to join more courses. The options are flexible.

The Drama School moved into new premises in Exeter in September 2014 after many years based in Ashburton, however, there is still a thriving branch in Ashburton.

The Annex at the URC in Heavitree has been extensively renovated so that it is now ideal for Drama and Performance Teaching.

With plenty of space for performing, it also has a large library of scripts and reference books, a huge collection of costumes and props all on hand for use by our Exeter and Ashburton students.

History of Theatre pictures and theatrical items decorate the walls, along with a large gallery of photographs of past productions. The toilets are Hollywood themed to represent the film industry! This all reflects our aim to inspire our students through in-depth knowledge, practical participation, hard work and fun.

The Teaching Rooms both have basic kitchen facilities, so that students may bring and make refreshments when needed.
We encourage students to feel free to drop in for a cup of tea and a chat or to do some reading and research as long as they don’t disrupt other lessons.

We aim to make The Drama School a friendly and busy environment which is always welcoming.
